Tired of the same old steak sauce? Try making compound butter. The recipe is simple and recommended from Matt Goulding, Men’s Health Food Editor. In his video demonstration, Goulding starts by saying that compound butter is simply “butter with extra flavor.” Take a stick of butter and let it sit in a bowl on the counter until it softens. Add a teaspoon of chives and shallots for onion flavor, and crumbled blue cheese for rich flavor. Ground pepper can be added to taste. Once all of the ingredients are mixed, scoop it up on some plastic and wrap it up. Roll it out so it spreads and looks like a block. Allow it to sit in the fridge until it gets firm.
