Is Brown Bread Really Healthy?

If the bread looks brown in color (as opposed to white), chances are good it’s healthy, right? Wrong. In order to know for sure, you have to take a few extra seconds at the grocery store and look at the label.
Partner site Her Active Life explains, in an article entitled, “How Healthy is Your Brown Bread,” a new marketing tactic that many manufacturers are using these days. Some companies are actually taking white bread and dying it to look brown, to trick the uneducated consumer. Another tactic they use is boasting that their bread is high in fiber, but when looking carefully at the label, you realize that you must eat multiple servings of bread in order to actually hit the specified amount.
