Break Out the Barbell - Toe Raises

This article is part 9 of my Break Out the Barbell series on exercises you can perform simply by using the barbell collecting dust in your garage. Today’s exercise focuses on the calve muscle.
Barbell Toe Raise – Calves Grab a barbell and, all in one fluid motion, get the bar up and onto your shoulders as if you’re going to squat. Now, instead of bending, push up off your toes as far as you can and lower yourself back down. Make sure you fully stretch out your calves before starting the move.
