Are Cell Phones More Dangerous Than Cigarettes?

There has been a lot of talk recently about the dangers of cell phone use. In fact, one researcher, Australian neurosurgeon Dr. Vini Khurana, says cell phones may cause more cancer in the near future than smoking or asbestos. That’s a bold statement.
Dr. Khurana has been conducting thorough research on the possible relationship of cell phones and brain cancer. He says that using a cell phone for at least ten years can possibly double your risk for developing brain cancer.
Dr. Khurana goes on to say that since three times as many people use cell phones than smoke, if his above theory is true, then cell phones will cause more cancer than cigarettes.
I think Dr. Khurana’s correlation to cigarettes is a bit liberal, especially since the relationship between cell phone use and brain cancer is not confirmed. That said, however, if this doctor’s theory turns out to be true, this could be a serious public health problem. Maybe I’ll invest in an ear bud....
