If you’re looking for that “perfect burger” recipe, I highly recommend you try out this recipe, which is very simple and tastes amazing. Now, this is not the healthiest recipe in the world. However, a good rule of thumb when it comes to spring and summer barbeques is “everything in moderation.” Basically, don’t eat three of these and wish them down with five beers. Instead, eat one, and have a side salad and a glass of water. When eating in moderation, you can experience some truly great barbequed foods.
Ingredients: 1 red onion 1 pound ground beef Jack Daniel’s No. 7 BBQ sauce
Chop up the red onion into little tiny pieces. Mix them in a bowl together with the 1 pound of ground beef. Add some Jack Daniel’s BBQ sauce (as much or as little as you want) (in my opinion, the more the better). Mash everything together with your hands. Make as many patties as you want out of the ground beef. Place on the grill on MEDIUM or MEDIUM-LOW heat. Cook to desired temperature. Add more BBQ sauce to the outside of the burgers before you take them off the grill.
** It is very important that you put the beef on medium to medium-low heat. A lot of guys do not understand this. DO NOT THROW THE PATTIES ON THE GRILL ON HIGH. All this does is burn the outside. Instead, cook at a lower temperature for a longer period of time. This ensures good all-around cooking.
Let me know what you think of this. I love it. And I get a lot of good feedback.
