A recent article from partner site Summer Olympian discussed Michael Phelp’s sleepy tendencies. According to the article, Phelps is far from a morning person. Reuters reports that he fell asleep on a diving board platform at the April 5 Columbus (Ohio) Grand Prix forcing him to pull out of the meet’s 400 meter freestyle event. The article also emphasized concerns about Phelps’ sleepiness because the Beijing 2008 swimming schedule will be different than Olympics past. The preliminary and semi-final heats will be held in the evening and the finals will be held the following morning. Could this make a difference in his performance? Check it out at Summer Olympian.
