What happens when you get a paper cut or scrape a knee? In a healthy body, the cut or scrape will gradually heal. That’s because the human body is made to heal. You owe it to yourself and to the people who love and depend on you, to learn as much as you can and to do as much as you can, to be in excellent health.
Eating the right foods, taking the right supplements, getting enough exercise and sleep are all crucial elements in achieving and maintaining excellent health. Nutrition is the foundation on which all the other blocks are placed. You can take supplements 24/7 but without good nutrition, all other efforts will be in vain.
Unfortunately, there is mass confusion as to what truly constitutes good nutrition. Do I have to do tofu? Do I really have to give up steak? Do I have to eat egg substitute?
Based on research, history and common sense I choose to say no, no, no. I am persuaded that it depends on where you get your food from. I would like to present common sense info, supported by research and history, that we can achieve and maintain health eating the foods that we have been told not to eat.
We can take supplements but we don’t have to swallow 50 pills per day to be healthy. We can exercise regularly without having a second residence at the gym. And we can heal from some illnesses without taking ten prescriptions and seeing the doctor more than we see our family. If your curiosity has been provoked, please follow me as we journey down the road of information and common sense to the land of good health.
