Dumbbell Exercises to Deem Worthy: Dumbbell Shrugs

dumbbell shrugThis article is part 7 of my series on dumbbell exercises every guy should deem worthy.  Today’s exercise will build that shoulder girth you’ve been looking for, focusing on your traps while working your upper back.

Dumbbell Shrugs – Shoulder
Standing straight and dumbbells at your sides, palms in, shrug your shoulders up, squeezing your trapezoids.  Slowly lower the weights and repeat.

Don’t get creative and roll your shoulders during the move, as you only increase your chances for injury.  Also try and keep your arms as straight as possible.
