Check-ups, lab tests and routine medical exams can be hard to keep track of, especially when you lead a busy life like mine. However, I recently came across an extremely helpful article by Discovery Health which explains when and why we (as men) need to recieve check-ups ranging from dental exams and height/weight measurements to blood pressure and prostate cancer exams. Whether you’re a single guy, a father, a partner, a brother or a friend, you can certainly appreciate the advice given in this article.
Discovery Health breaks down their advice into specific age groups: 18-39 years, 40-65 years and men over 65 years of age. The article then gives advice about routine immunizations (such as the flu shot) and when you would need a PSA test (for prostate cancer). Routine check-ups and exams are a great prevention tactic and are the best form of early detection for fatal diseases such as cancer. Check out this article at Discovery Health. By getting an appropriate check-up, you could be saving your own life and the lives of your friends and family.
