bent over row This article is part 8 of my Break Out the Barbell series on exercises you can perform simply by using the barbell collecting dust in your garage.  Today’s exercise focuses on the back.

Barbell Bent Over Row – Back
With the barbell lying on the ground in front of you, grab the bar with a wide overhand grip.  Keeping your knees slightly bent with your upper body parallel to the ground, pull the barbell straight into your stomach before lowering it back into position.

Be mindful to keep your back straight throughout the execution of the move.

  1. Great recommendation - the barbell bent over row is an essential exercise for building back mass (along with the deadlift and pullups). I learned some good stuff from your Resources link.
